How do you get a 2 year old to drink when he doesnt want to?!

My son has been feeling a bit down and for the past 2 days he hasn't eaten or drank much of anything. I think he is starting to get dehydrated. It's not bad, and if I can get him to drink everything will be OK. I would really like to save him from having to go to the doctors and get stuck with needles. I just can not for the life of me get him to drink! I need some help, or ideas to get him to drink.

  • If you can get him to take a sip every fifteen minutes then he should be ok. Hes only 2 if it means keeping him from the ER I would make him do it if he didnt do it willingly. Its for his own good. Just make sure he has a wet diaper every couple of hours and he should be ok. If he also has no tears when he cries that a sign of deyhydration. You can also try popsicles.
