  • My doctor says in 13 years he's only seen one pregnancy.

  • yes, it is called an ectopic pregnancy. essentially, the egg is fertilized and attaches not to the uterus, but to the tube. it is dangerous, i encourage you to research it. if you believe that you are pregnant after tubal ligation, please contact your doctor.

  • this is true, so i speak more from secondhand experience with the knowledge that ectopic pregnancy can result after a tubal. it isn't necessarily ectopic, but the only person i know who ever had that happen nearly died because of it so i find myself aware of it. at any rate, i think we can agree that a qualified doctor should be consulted!

  • Oh yeah, it is definitly a higher risk after a tubal because the tubes are cauterized and the embryo gets trapped in the fallopian tube.
