If you and your spouse having finanical issues and trust issues, is it now time for counseling, and how do you know if you have a good counselor..

having this issue for some time now, wondering if I was being fair about it. our finances are seperate. we did that been there to a counselor and not very good results. saw 2 already. we couldn't get pass our emotional issues to deal with what was really causing us problems which was how we do our finances and how we felt about the past.

  • Both of you have to be comfortable with the person but also willing to give them a chance to make you comfortable by trusting them and opening up. Sounds like a good counseling session would be beneficial. Went through it a few years ago, though it didn't affect things immediately. It was much more gradual and over time things got better and we both used much of the tools we learned. Now after 11 yrs, we're stronger than ever.
