Can i wash a load of whites and a load of colors separately and then dry them together

there's 2 washing machines at my apt complex. i have a tiny load of whites that isn't worth wasting an entire dry cycle on. can i dry them with the load of colors? i'm bleaching them btw

  • you can spread lint light to dark or dark to light... so be mindful if you combine loads.

  • yes - but depending on what's in the load of whites you may get a lot of lint/fuzz on your darks

  • Ah, did you bleach them? I did that once and the bleaced clothes spoted the colored in the dryer...I would advise against this idea.

  • there is nothing linty in the white load. just tank tops, wife beaters, and tee shirts

  • I do it all the time! My white load is too small to justify paying to dry it alone! I usualy throw it in with the jeans or colored towels

  • If it's only a few white things, why not just hang them to dry?
