  • Norton - I watch Office Max every year for when they run it with a full rebate, so it's "free"

  • Avast. It's free and works better than any pay for one iv used.

Answer by vbruno at 9:51 AM on Apr. 8, 2011

  • Trend Micro Internet security

Answer by MrsLeftlane at 9:52 AM on Apr. 8, 2011

  • My preference is for Trend Micro, they're the best I've found/used. But right now I can't afford it, so I use Avast!.

Norton will worm its way into your hard drive/kernel and make it impossible to fully uninstall if/when you choose to do so.

McCafee, through Comcast, would randomly select safe files/programs and make them viruses and then block the thing and not allow you to mark it as safe. I've never been fond of McCafee.
