  • Easy, no milk untill he eats, let him get upset. He will eat eventually. It's a power struggle, perfect age to be starting that

  • Don't give him milk or any liquids until he eats half his food. I had to do that with the kids at the day care I worked at or they would not eat anything. Limit the milk or other liquids you give before or during meals.

  • My son stays home all day, but he gets milk with snacks only - 2 cups a day. When that's gone, that's it. He has tried fussing at other times for milk, but I stand firm and he doesn't even bother asking anymore . . . he knows what the answer will be. If he chooses not to eat, then he waits until the next meal/snack. He's not going to starve.

  • I have to agree with the other moms. If you don't want him to become a picky eater, you can't let him start dictating what he eats. Its hard, I know, but trust me, he won't starve. He only does this at home because he knows he can get away with it. Stand firm!

  • Toddlers at that age tend to have phases where they will/won't eat or drink certain things. It's very very normal. Definitely DO NOT limit his fluid intake - this can lead to dehydration. Make sure that snacks are readily available. I have the most luck with my toddler when I give her what Daddy and I are eating.

  • don't give in tell him to take three bites for on drink of milk.. he will eat when he is hungry.. only allow him to eat what everyone one else eats or he will become a picky eater..
