What type of medication are u allowed to take while pregnant for pain?

I recently found out I am pregnant with my second child after trying for nearly a year. I have a 6 year old so I am a little rusty when it comes to remembering everything for Do's and Don'ts while pregnant. I am still waiting for my first maternity appointment and can't remember for sure what type of pain medication you are allowed to take while pregnant which won't harm the baby.

  • Tylenol, but use it sparingly.

  • They say Tylenol is ok. But it can do serious damage to your liver if taken frequently or in large amounts. If it can damage can hurt the baby too- the way I think of it.

Besides Tylenol doesn't do one single thing for me. So I have been going through with nothing- migraines and all.
