3-7 months old and excessive sleeping?

What does it mean when your baby sleeps excessively? Not often. My DD is 6 months old and once a month or so she has a day that she just constantly sleeps. It worries me every time that she does it, but because she doesn't seem like she feels bad, and she's back to normal the next day, I'm not inclined to think that there is anything wrong. Just a growing girl?

  • My daughter did that a whole lot around the same age remember that they are going through on of their biggest growth spurts between ages 5 and 7 months. As long as their is no illness symptoms vomiting diarrhea or fever just relax and you can always call your pediatrician.

  • My fiest son slept all day everyday for 5 months, he was only up long enough to eat, then he would pass out. I talked to the dr about it and she said it wasfine as long as he was eating, peeing, pooping and all that stuff. i dont no if it has anything to do with it, but since he was about a year old he hasnt been the type to need naps. so enjoy the time!
