My son is 18 months & says alot of words , tells me he wants milk, get up, go down, etcc.. He has a 3 year old brother could this be why he's talking so early? My first son talked around 22 months & my second started around 13 months saying some words...

  • My first son didnt talk much until he was close to 2yrs old. He said some words, but no real sentences. My second son had speech delays due to having Down Syndrome, but my 3rd son did talk earlier than my first son. he started talking close to a year. He was saying 2 word sentences at an early age also.

  • My son (only so far) is 14 months and says cup, kitty, hi, mommy, daddy, Rachel (my frist name), bye, kids, cookie etc... I don't know if this is alot or not. But that's what he says.

  • I think it must be having a sibling. My son barely says 6 words consistently at 19 months. His cousin has a four yr old brother and she's been talking in sentences since about 18 months.
