  • http://www.military.com/news/article/troop-paychecks-anticipate-shutdown.html Some U.S. servicemembers and families around the world got an early pay statement today that suggests the Pentagon thinks Capitol Hill's budget negotiations are headed for failure.

With only hours to go on April 8 before the lack of a budget forces the U.S. government to effectively shut its doors, some troops have received their latest leave and earnings statement a week early – and it reflects pay for one week instead of the usual two.

  • military is definitely not exempt. I just feel for all the famillies that are going to be effected by this. Absoletly ridiculous that the president and congress will still be getting paid and the people that actually cant miss a pay check will.

  • Remember this when you go vote next time!

This BS what they are doing to us. The Obama administration could of done something last year and Rep.congressman wanted to pass a law that the military pay would not be touched, but Obama said he would veto it!

It is all a freaking game, that we the people lose!

  • What makes military troops any different than all those hardworking Americans affected by furloughs and layoffs?
This time hard times might be coming your way?

Who does the unemployed in Elkhart Indiana get to call about being without a paycheck for 3 years?
