Can it be?

My daughter is 4 months old. and she said it plain as can be, she said hi. But is it possible for her to talk this early?

  • Yes then can start talking at 4 months....thats when DS started to say dada.... =) They grow up way to fast!

  • Not to burst your bubble, but hi is a really easy word to say as far as forming sounds goes...most likely she's just babbling and you heard "hi"...though yes, it is possible for her to purposefully say something like that. Did she say it as someone entered the room?

  • I would say that you would need to see her say it in the correct context several times before you know for sure.

  • I would say that she was probably mimicking sounds, although I believe 4 mos is a bit early for mimicking sounds, so cool!
