  • Not at all!! Let the baby eat/try foods as he wants and your milk will continue to meet his needs, He may drink a little less one day and you MIGHT feel a little fuller (sometimes I did, sometimes I didn't) but your body will adjust if he continues to eat less. My 1 year old didn't really start to eat solids until about nine months. He would take bites of things here and there but didn't really eat any portion until later.

The only reason you would be engorged is if you stopped nursing.

  • Not likely, unless you have a pretty major oversupply to begin with. Starting solids is VERY gradual. Remember: before age 1, it's just for grins and giggles. They're still learning and still get most of their nutrients from you. Your body will adjust to Babby's needs. Don't worry. :)

  • You shouldn't, because you are supposed to nurse right before giving solids, so baby will still be nursing about the same amount.

  • Every Kid is different. Im still trying with mine.. and he is 2. He cant chew and swallow.. painful process. At least now he recognizes when he grabbed something that is too big and he spits it out.. so try with pasta shells and cheese.. easy to chew and swallow. Good luck.
