Would you trust a "Reformed" sexual predator...

...with your children?

If they had professed their sins, and asked repentance?

* In a previous post, it was stated in an answer (I am paraphrasing here) that unless you were a christian, you couldn't understand the reason for acceptance of predators within the church, or why they should be trusted. That they're like a family...

* Those that do feel this way please explain why?

  • I am a Christian and there is NO WAY on earth I would ever trust a predator around my kids. (and by the way most churches that I have heard of will not allow a predator anywhere near the kids and they always have supervision regardless if they are "reformed" or not)

  • Hell no. Never. I do believe that *some* people can sometimes change, but that is one thing that after your first offense you should never be trusted with ever again no matter what.

  • There is no such thing. Sexual predators reoffend at a higher rate than any other criminal group. So no.

  • No, no no, they do not change and are supposed to be registered sex offenders and are not allowed to be around children at all period!

  • Not a chance. We can forgive people but should NEVER forget. Call me crazy, but i just don't believe sex offenders can be reformed. Its like a mental illness.

  • No, there is no such a thing as a reformed sex predator.

  • NEVER.

  • There is no such thing as a reformed sex predator. Hence the title PREDATOR. I am a Catholic who things that ALL priests or clergy that molest kids should be sent far away from kids and punished just like anyone else.

Now, a sex OFFENDER can be reformed and I have trusted reformed sex offenders with my child. There is a HUGE difference between an offender and predator.
