  • I say why not?? I am probably going to have one with my second child, it won't be a big as the first... but second, third, fourth, ect babies deserve to be celebrated too!!

  • Depends on the situation. Different father, different family...so yes. Otherwise, if less than 5 years has gone by, then no. If more than 5 years has gone by, then yes.

  • Do it if you want to. I wouldn't expect it to be as big as the first. It's just to celebrate that you're having a baby. I think everyone deserves to get their friends and family together and just be happy about a new baby.

  • I think its a little tacky because if you have had a child within 5 yrs or so you should already be outfitted with the necessities (strollers, car seat, etc)
However, we had a baby shower for my mom because her youngest was 7 and she got pregnant again (oops!) I think situtations like that are a little different. or as previous posters have said, if its a different father.

  • I think its fine. I had baby showers with all 5 of my kids. My friends and family always threw them for me.

  • If your friends or family want to throw one for you I really cannot see how anyone would call it "tacky", unless of course their own family did not throw them one with the next baby. It is more tacky to turn down a party that celebrates the birth of a child.

  • I would love to have one with this baby because my first was a boy and this one is a girl and I have no girl things.
