Clever ways to use leftovers?

I think that making sure no food goes to waste is one of the best ways to save money on groceries.

A couple of my favorite ways to get rid of some are:

Soups (i.e. mexican soup with taco leftovers and a can of creamed corn)
Pizza- seems to be a good way to purge extra sauces, cheese, vegetables, meat.
Casseroles - again...dumping ground for extra meat, rice, veggies, etc.

  • That's not really a question....but compost is also a good way to use left overs that aren't meat...it's not wasteful if you're growing a garden...

  • My question was whether you have any clever ways to use leftovers. Sorry.

  • Those are good ones too Ashlynnsmommy. I used to do the quesadillas (but forgot all about it), but not the stir fry...that would be good.

  • I shred the leftovers of a roasted chicken and add it pasta, or make a chicken salad with it.

  • I make enough food for the meal because leftovers don't go over well with my son and I. But, composting is a creative way to use up leftovers.
