Can you dilate in false labor?

  • i dialated for 3 weeks til i was induced.. i was 4-5 centimeters dialated when i was induced

  • no. only when you have true labor, you dilate. You can be switching back and forth from braxton hicks and real labor.

  • u can dilate for weeks leading up to labor. it doesnt mean ur in labor

  • Well, short of pitocin or other means of induction, you can't. Baby will come when he/she is ready. Some women's bodies just take longer to go through the whole process than others.
