  • We help my daughter with our five grandkids and we do it ALL! We put little candies in the plastic eggs, we dye eggs the night before with the kids, then the nex day we have an Easter Egg Hunt and we always color one egg gold, so whomever finds it gets $5! We've been doing that since my kids were small!

  • plastic for the hunt. they are fun to dye but oh so stinky if you forget one! real ones have a tendency not to be found as enthusiastically.

  • We use fake ones too. I don't even make a lot of the real ones. No one around here but me and my oldest will eat hard boiled eggs.

  • I'll probably use the fake ones, but once they get older, it may be a mix of both. I want them to experience an egg fight. I loved egg fights at my grandma's house.

  • Fake ones, we tried to dye some last year and it didn't go so well so that will be saved until the kids get a little older.

  • We use both. We decorate the real eggs then use them in the hunt.
