Why is Obama claiming victory?

Democrats first offered no cuts, then $4 billion, then $6.5 billion, then $33 billion, then settled at $38.5 billion.

Seems like a big fail for the democrats to me. If the republicans hadn't taken the house it would have been a massive spending increase. Where is his victory in this?

  • considering the Republicans wanted to cut spending in Education, Health Care (seperately from Obama Care), Social Programs for the poor, EPA funding, and Planned Parenthood, I'd say thats a failure too, seeing as all of those things are important to the future.

  • I dunno. He seems pretty clueless this time about a victory when the speaker already said he WILL NOT BUDGE on some of the issues. So I expect another looming shut down in a month's time.

  • Because the man is a narcissistic egomaniac, who believes the world revolves around him, and would claim victory if he was unanimously impeached! He's an idiot embicile, with no clue what he's doing, is in so far over his head, none of us will ever live long enough to see daylight, and is such an egomaniac, he'd rather claim victory than admit he's clueless, and let someone who DOES know what they are doing take over! And, as a result, we are all paying the price!

  • It's all a freaking joke!

There has always been help for the very poor, ALWAYS!

The problem is the very LAZY want in the help! And that is what is wrong!

You not the rich are taking from the very poor!

  • The victory is in the coming together of the two sides. That is a victory for all of us. It doesn't always need to be about one side or the other . . . we are all Americans.
