  • I spelled my daughters name Jadyn instead of Jayden because I wasn't spelling her after any Jay. I really liked Jade and Jada but they just didn't fit with our last name so I went with Jadyn. Most people have a problem pronouncing Talon, which is the regular way to spell it?? And my oldest is Landon which is normal...but on his middle name we made it Zacary, no h or k.

  • No.

I was kind and gave my child a normal name with a normal spelling.

  • No, i'm pretty much a stickler with names being properly spelled. Although my daughters name is a last name. But I don't like first names looking like last names so instead of McKenna, her name is spelled Mackenna

  • Yup & regret it...
We named her Breaunna (Bree-on-uh.. kinda like Brianna with onna instead.)
Now people wanna call her brea-unna :(
We have discussed changing the spelling of her name. But we get mixed advice. Some say do it. Some say dont ...
DD is 4 & doesnt know how to spell her name yet (we call her Bree alot so that is all she has learned to spell) so it wouldnt actually change anything for her right now.. but later on in life she would learn about the name change.

  • I'm personally not a big fan of the different spellings. Especially because some people take it to extremes to where it doesn't even look like it spells the name they're saying. lol.

My daughter's name is Scarlett Abigail and those are the traditional spellings.

  • Nope. I gave my children normal, easy to spell names, it will be better for them in the future when they fill put resumes and job applications. Jason, Carson, Gabriella, Olivia and Valerie.

  • Yes. My youngest son is Kyndel James. I wanted it different from Kendall, and I thought long and hard to come up with the spelling I did. He's now 17, hates his name, and goes by KJ! LOL. My name is also spelled different. My mom is Lynda, and she named me Malinda, which I hate, so I go by Mendy. But, of course everyone wants to spell my name Me instead of Ma, and Mi, instead of Me! LOL. I've gone through my life correcting.
