Lasagna: Running out of ingredients

We are strapped until payday. Only enough for gas to and from work so I'm using up what is in the pantry.
I have the gravy, the noodles and the meat, but has anyone ever used cheddar cheese in Lasagna before?

  • it'll be more pasta-like than traditional style. Embrace the new !!! Cheese is rarely a bad thing. Yummo

  • I haven't but it sounds like a good combination, go for it!

  • Sure, I would if that's all I had. There's lots of times where I just use what I have to make a dish and it always turns out fine.

  • Cheddar has such a strange taste and the melting point is use less heat? I'm just worried that the flavor combo might be off...

  • Puzzling over the "gravy" but cheese of any kind (IMO) is ALWAYS good in lasagna. Call it, MOM'S UNIQUE SECRET LASAGNA.

  • "Gravy" is a way of saying Sauce. Some areas call any liquid poured over noodles or potatoes "gravy".
