  • My DD doc said 3 weeks up is fine as long as they can handle it without choking.

  • Typically it is 4 months for a formula fed baby and 6 months for a breast fed baby. I would suggest talking to your doctor to see what is right for you baby as his/her needs might be different.

  • Ask your Baby Doctor first before you feed your baby cereal. I started feeding my child baby cereal at six months old.

  • Depends on what your doctor says. He gave us the go ahead at 2 months since that's when my baby had good head control and the signs of readiness. He said to start with rice cereal.

  • My pediatrician told me I could start feeding my daughter rice cereal when at any time after 4 months. She is exclusively breast fed.

  • Dr advised us to make small amounts of cereal to feed her at 4 months just to learn to eat off a spoon. Then at 6 months we serve her cereal for breakfast and fruits and veggies for lunch and dinner.
