Just wondering...saw the commercial.

  • Because the juice counteracts the meds. Fruit juice contains some of the same things that many common allergens do, like fruit oils and pollen. So they work against each other and don't allow the meds to work on the real allergies.

  • The citric acid in fruit juices neutralizes the effects of the drug.

  • I've got horrible allergies and they just kicked in today. I was just curious...I've never heard that before. Is the active ingredient different than what is found in most others?

  • Renee I am tellin ya...I have tried EVERYTHING. Claritin used to work but my body became immune to it eventually. My son is on Allergra as well and he is doing extremely well.

  • I'l have to pick up a small box to try. I have asthma as well...the allergies cause flare ups, but so do some medications. It's a pain.
