  • Blegh ya I can't either. I know a lady who tells her kids that it's chocolate to get them to eat the whole banana, it works on her kids, but mine looks at me like I'm an idiot. He so know's better.

  • I like my bananas just after the turn ripe. No bruises, no brown or black areas.

  • ICK,,, I am weird I like mine almost green! I can't hardly even use the really ripe ones for bread!

  • yeah, I cut those off. They are kinda disgusting.
When we were kids though, we used to eat them anyway. My grampa would get mad at us for wasting banana and not invite us over to pick bananas anymore if we didn't eat them. They weren't that badly bruised though, usually just a spot from being over ripe.

  • You mean the nasty bruised parts? No way. I like my bananas to be just ripe.

  • Blech. I don't even include those spots in baked stuff! I can't eat a banana once it has more than a couple brown spots on the skin, and I have to cut the bruises off to bake.
