1 Bump

I know this may be a stupid question to some but I'm asking cause I really don't know the answer!

I forgot to ask my doctor this question yesterday at my doctors appointment. Today I have my baby...YAY!!! Today I am only 39 weeks and 1 day. I have a scheduled c-section.

Here's my question...
Even though I'm having the baby early, will my milk still come out?

  • it sure will! regardless of the route your baby is born and when, your body knows when you are no longer pregnant and to start forming your milk. of course, it will only be colostrum for the first few days. but yes, do not worry because your body just knows!

  • Yes :) You're body will know the baby has been born and will start producing colostrum if you're not already (you might be surprised)

  • Yes your milk will still come out. I had my son at 34weeks & i was able to breast feed my son with no problems. I also, was able to pump my milk fo rmy son because he was in ICU for a week.

  • Normally, yes. Not every person is able to make milk or enough milk to feed their baby, although most are, not everyone can. GL
