My 3-yr-old son only coughs when he sleeps...what to do???

He is fine all day, no runny nose, no watery eyes, but then he lies down and his allergies take over! Is there something I can do for him at night besides cough syrup and vaporub?

  • I wonder if there is something he's allergic to in his room? have you eliminated any down blankets or pillows? dust? mold around any windows or in the walls? maybe you could try lifting one side of his mattress - i have to do that with my own son because he has such bad sinus issues if he sleeps laying down - do you use a humidifier at all? what about an air purifier - it also gives off white noise for better sleeping..
( all of this is what I do for my son lol!~)

  • Try a humidifier, and prop him up a little more. Maybe give him an extra pillow.

  • We do have a humidifier we should be using, and an air purifier is an awesome idea!!! Thanks!
