Which is better Dyson or Roomba?

Now that DD is mobile, we need a better vacuum. I have hear good things about both, but am looking for some mommy opinions. We have about 1750 sq ft of house, which is mostly carpet (standard thickness, not shag). Also have a couple small areas of tile and linoleum in bathrooms/kitchen/entry.

  • I personally prefer Dyson. Its the best one I've ever owned.

  • I love my roomba. We turn it on at night and when we wake up, the floor is clean!! It does the kitchen floor, bathroom all types of carpet. It's also nice because it will send an error message if it's picked up something it shouldn't have ( my dds bospws) and it gets the placed like under the couch that are hard to reach. But if you are going with the roomba, I'd suggest getting a smallone as well. We got the small shark that is also a hand held. I use that for messes during the day.

  • I think I'd pick a Dyson over a Roomba but with a little crawler the Roomba might be better since you could leave it going all day...

  • Isn't the great thing about the roomba that it does it itself?
