  • I have been through many vacuums. We have several pets, including normally having Siberian Huskies, so we have lots of indoor pet hair. Usually a vacuum will last me anywhere from 6-18 months. Six months ago I finally got tired of spending $100-$200 on a new vacuum so often, so I finally bought a Dyson Animal D28.......OMG, there's just no comparison. If you have the money to put into a Dyson, I would highly recommend doing it. You can get the less expensive brands for a lot less than I got my Animal ($500).

But to recommend anything like a Hoover or Dirt Devil, I just can't because those never even close to living up to my expectations.

  • We have a roomba. I call it my lazy vacuum because all you do is push the button. We turn ours on at night and when we wake up, it's clean!! But I also love our shark. It's a little one, but has no cord and has awesome suction.

  • I wish I could get a Dyson, but we can't afford it right now. Someday... Anyways, we have a Bissel Pet hair eraser and I do like it a lot.

  • I love my Tristar but it was $1000. I have had it for eleven years now. I take it back once a year and they clean it up and put new parts on it if needed. I love my vacuum!
