  • I slowly took a bottle away every week or so. The night bottle was the scariest for me. Luckily, he went to visit his grandma and when he came back, she had weaned him off of it.

  • i started transitioning them from formula to milk around 11 months, by adding 1 oz of milk and taking away 1 oz of formula each week until it was all milk. then milk was only offered in a sippy cup, and i never had night bottle problems. maybe just put water in the night time bottles?

  • We took them away cold turkey. But we had been using sippy cups for over 6 mos by the time she came off the bottle.

  • i think she would be ok if i took her off cold turkey. she has been drinking water out of a sippy cup since she was 5 months old. sometimes she doesnt even want to drink her milk out of the bottle. do babies ever self ween themselves?

  • have her drink from a sippy cup during the day, and at night give her the bottle only if she really wants it .
