How much should I charge for Christmas cookie platters?

I will be baking and delivering platters with 7 different Christmas cookies. The local bakeries charge $8-9 a pound. I will be offering 2, 3, and 5 pound platters. Do I charge a little more or a little less than the bakeries? For the delivery, how does 60 cents a mile sound? (The government reimbursement rate is 58.5 cents a mile.) Should I charge more? Thanks!

  • I would charge a little less, and maybe a flat delivery fee. This way you can get the clientele base (if you don't already have it) and keep it year to year.
