Help! My Daughter won't let me see my Grandson. I am his second Mother.

How would you handle it if your 24yr ols daughter and my 3yr old Grandson moved in for a month. But I had to kick her out because she is very messed up with drugs and the such. She said she is moving out of state and I will never see my Grandson again. I am this boys second Mom!! I cnt cope.

  • If she's using drugs you should alert the proper authoritys, I know she's your Daughter but your innocent 3 yr old Grand Son deserves better!

  • I agree. If she is on drugs, then your grandson should not be around that. You should definitely get someone else involved. Your grandson deserves a childhood and to be taken care of.

  • I have called CPS, but until they can "prove" anything, they can't step in. I have tried CPS, Cops, her Grandma-- Nothing!

  • So few states have or enforce any grandparent rights. If drugs or abuse are suspected call the police and/or CPS and make sure they are aware that in the event drugs and/or abuse and neglect are found and the child needs to be removed that you will take the child immediately. Make that clear from the start, don't allow them to take him anywhere else, they must call you immediately. Good Luck

  • That's strange. I had a ex-friend who had CPS called on her and they had her take a drug test.

  • Did they say why they can't drug test her....can't they get a court order for it or somethig? Maybe you should talk to a lawyer and see what your options are.
