Trying for a boy this time...what should we do???

My husband and I are gonna try for a boy and we want to do everything right. What should he do to better our chances? Is there anything I have to do? Are there some type of food or sex positions we need to eat or do? A little advice please!

  • The Shettle's method is based on science about how male and female sperm behave and unlike the other things out there about eating certain foods and positions, it is based in science. Now it is NOT a gurantee in any way, but it ups your chances. We used it and got a boy and girl when we wanted to.

  • According to Shettles Method, wait until the day before you ovulate to have sex. Then have sex every day until expected AF. He says this because girl sperms can live longer than boys, but swim much slower. Boy sperms will swim quicker but die quicker too. If you have sex too early before ovulation then you increase your odds of the boy sperm dying before your egg drops leaving more girl sperm to fertilize the egg. If you have sex the day of ovulation then the egg is already there and the boys have a better chance of reaching it first due to being faster swimmers than the girls. Also I read somewhere that a position like doggy style can help because it puts the sperm closer to the egg, hence giving the boy sperms a headstart and a better shot at reaching the egg first.

  • Wow, i wish i knew what it is that you could do when it comes to the choice of gender. i don't think that there is anything that you can do beside hope that you have one or keep trying until you get what it is that you want.

    Good luck mommas!

  • hi, my hubby n i are trying to do the same thing... i researched on it and i found out that male sperms are faster to swim but also faster to die... so deep penetration while ovulating is good... positions with deep penetration n trying not to expose male sperms to air... after intercourse stay on the bed for at least 5 minutes n do not get up... if possible elevate yourself in which your hip is higher than your head n back... you may use pillow to do so... as much as these tips are easy n simple, it is mostly to work... pray n do not stress out n it will happen... i have started also on fertibella on april 1st to prepare my body for pregnancy... taking iron n folic acid helps... best of luck... my source: i just kept googling on ways to have a baby boy... im sorry forgot which one exactly i got these info from but they are all similar to what is written above...
