Is sugar toxic?

On May 26, 2009, Robert Lustig gave a lecture called “Sugar: The Bitter Truth,” which was posted on YouTube the following July. Since then, it has been viewed well over 800,000 times, gaining new viewers at a rate of about 50,000 per month, fairly remarkable numbers for a 90-minute discussion of the nuances of fructose biochemistry and human physiology.

  • Everything in moderation. I believe "Sugar in the Raw" is the best if you have to use sugar in your cooking. That is what I use. In today's society, though, we are constantly being told that this is bad and that is bad. One day caffeine is bad, and the next day they say a cup a day can help fight some disease. Just try to eat healthy most of the time, and don't worry about a little sugar here and there.
