Ok im 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant and my hcg level is now 875 is that a good level?

ive been having cramps on one side. i went to the hospital 2 days ago and my hcg level was 400. im scared i might have an ectopic pregnancy. they did find a cyst on my right side. do you think that since my hcg levels went up its not a ectopic pregnancy? i go to my ob doctor on friday but it would help alot with my nerves if someone can help.

  • If your levels continue to increase, you aren't miscarrying. And you are only four weeks, so that level is about normal. Levels aren't exact, they are just an indicator of pregnancy. They focus more on the level only if it's going down instead of up.

  • If they did an ultrasound and saw an ovarian cyst, they would have found a pregnancy in your tube. Two totally different areas. And ovarian cysts are common, all women get them.

  • Yes, that's accurate, but they can still see a gestational sac, just not a baby.

  • Honey, everything sounds normal. You are going to the doctor anyway. You wanted someone to ease your mind. Relax. :)

  • My last pregancy was having a hard time getting detected on US last time. They kept seeing the sac but no baby. But my blood levels were doubling, eventually she showed up! I studied up on this exact thing. :)

  • No, ultrasound techs can't tell the patient anything, the doctor and the radiologist have to look at it. Not wierd at all. It's policy. Ultrasound techs aren't doctors. They just do the ultrasound.
