When I had my son, they catheterized me once briefly before I gave birth. The doctor on hand was very 'liberal' in helping my son come out (I was swollen very much afterward). Now it's 10 weeks later & I'm really starting to feel pain radiating throughout my urethra & my pelvic area in general. I checked with my doctor who tested me for a UTI, but I was negative. It hurts especially after I've had/have a full bladder & when I lay on my side for more than five minutes.

Anyone experienced/know what I'm talking about?

  • yes, I had pain in my urethra after my catheter and c-scection. The OB told me I had a narrow urethra (lol) and prescribed me a pill that soothe the pain and turned my pee blue. After a while, it healed.

  • I got some spotting 2 week ago, and AF just visited me this week. The pain my bladder is retracting back every time I'm done urinating. It feels better afterward. I'm just confused because I wasn't in pain until about 3 weeks ago, and it has been getting steadily worse, especially after I've been laying down on my side for a while.

Thanks for your input. I'm really hoping it's not my kidneys come back to haunt me (I had a kidney stone 6months preg.) I'm thinking of starting from scratch with a urologist.
