My son is 14 years old, he wants to join weight lifting program is it safe?

  • Yes it is especially in a program. My sons 17 and does weight lifting. He has been doing it a few years now and he loves it. Just make sure you talk to the coach and research protein supplements for him if he starts gaining alot of muscle.

  • Of course it is safe as long as he is lifting correctly and not too much at a time.

  • Yes, but he does need to be careful, because his bones are still growing. He can't do major power lifting yet. You might want to check with his doc. It can be hard on the growth plates of the bones when they're still growing if they do too much, so check with his doc as for what is safe.
