What is best to clean socks with?

My kids have the dirtiest socks ever. I dont know how in the world they manage to get them like this all the time. And they are not old (like 2-3 mths). I have tried washing them in bleach, but it doesnt work that well. Do you have any suggestions???

  • All of my son's socks are white so I do them in hot water with my other white clothes and add a little bit of Greased Lightning. It really works to get all the extra dingy dirt out. :)

  • Oxyclean - Let the socks soak for about 10 minutes or so then wash.

  • I was wondering the same thing! I was wondering if oxiclean or bleach would be better. Now I know what I'll be trying.

  • I needed to know this too. Unfortunately my daughter has may 6 pairs of white socks and the rest are different colors with fun pictures on them, etc. And they don't last long at all because of the stains....ugh

  • The new tide boosters work wonders with our clothes. Their slogan is "take stains out the first time." Check their FB page and see if there are any free samples left. I know they were giving them away last week.
