  • its a 50 50 chance but if you can prove the eniroment isnt stable then probably less either way though he will end up getting viisitaion every other weekend.

  • Unless he has a criminal record, records of abuse towards you and the child(ren), is an alcoholic, drug addict, drug dealer, pimp or something he will probably be granted joint custody with every other weekend visits. Child support and visitation are two seperate things so giving you $9 isnt going to be looked at. However he will be made to send in regular payments or go to jail if hes givin joint custody and itll be an amount set by the state off his income.

  • very likely they automatically do that here and if you can prove he isn't fit as listed above then you can't do much about. also CS and visitation are two separate issues.

  • Depends on the state. Some award joint custody but name 1 parent as primary custodian. Also your idea of an unstable environment and the states idea are 2 different things. Three, he can claim he has been giving you $500 a month cash and maybe they will believe him. He can also say he contributes by buying clothes and food.

If you want him to have NO contact with the child, you will probably have to do a hell of a documentation job. Even then, they allow visitation to lousy parents who pay no child support. He is still the dad.

  • very good if he asks for it. he doesn't have to prove anything other than he wants joint custody.

  • Fathers should have just as much right to their children. Women should be more careful when chosing their mate (and vice versa) to avoid having a child with someone they don't want to share a child with.

  • I agree with the anonymous before me. But in most cases you will need to share joint and have rules to go by and so will he. You will be joined married or not. Now just because he has joint doesnt mean he will want it so look at that also. Best of luck.

  • He has a pretty good chance unless you can prove that he doesn't have a stable environment.
