Why do people seem to think Juicy Juice is nutritious?

Juicy Juice is apple juice with all sorts of extra added crap. It is NOT 100% fruit juice. That is not healthy. And it would be a rare day to find a healthy "fruit punch" or "strawberry-kiwi". Seriously. I have never understood folks thinking it was great. It's like Kool-Aid with apple juice.

  • Perhaps they are comparing it with such stellar performers as Sunny Delight and Capri-Sun?

  • In the realm of juice drinks, it actually IS 100% juice, therefore lacks the added ingredients of other so called "juice drinks". But in the big picture, milk is much healthier.

  • here is what i found on their site:

. Are Juicy Juice 100% juice products flavored juice blends?
Yes. While all Juicy Juice 100% juice products contain 100% Juice, many of our varieties are blends of various fruit juices. We blend with a purpose in mind – to deliver a wide variety of great tasting fruit flavors that specifically appeal to kids’ palates.

  • My children do not get juice except for a rare treat. That being said though Jucy juice is 100% juice with no added sugar. It is a blend of juices, but it is still all juice and no a bunch of artificial flavors. They do add artificial colors though. IMHO it is much better then some of the other stuff people could be giving their kids, but definitely not the healthiest choice either.

  • INGREDIENTS
APPLE: APPLE JUICE CONCENTRATE, WATER, ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C), MALIC ACID.

    ????

No sugar or corn syrup... the acids are nutritional additive, not unhealthy.

No juice is necessary and it is high in sugar added or not but I see nothing miss leading in the label, at least on the apple juice.

  • What do you care what other people think? If Juicy Juice was unhealthy then WIC wouldn't pay for it. WIC only pays for 100% juice.

  • strawberry Kiwi:
Ingredients: Apple Juice, Grape Juice, Kiwi Juice, and Strawberry Juice (Water, Juice Concentrates), Natural Flavors, Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Citric Acid.

Still not seeing the issue... other than it isn't 100% strawberry kiwi... it is still 100% juice. ::shrug:: lol. I dunno all juice is a waste of calories anyway! I guess it just doesn't bother me since we rarely buy it and when we do it's Dole orange-pinapple!
