How many hours of sleep do you get at night?

So we all know most moms are sleep deprived, but just how bad is it for you? I usually get up at 5:30am and get to bed by 11:00pm. When DH is working at night (he's a truck driver) I can't fall asleep til after 1am. What about you?

  • I go to bed around 3-4a and I get up around 11-12 so I get a good 8-9 hours. I don't have children at home any more so, that's why I can stay up later and sleep later. When my sons were at home I went to bed at 12-1 and got up at 7-8.

  • I fall asleep about 3a, wake up at 8a for chores, then back to bed until 12p. Then off to work.

  • I have trouble with sleep as well. My live in partner has trouble sleeping and he ends up staying up until about 2 every morning and sometimes later...I personally like falling asleep next to someone, so when he isn't next t me I can't sleep. I usually end up going to bed around 12 midnight and dont fall asleep until he comes to bed around 2. I get up around 6:30. I don't think this is enough sleep but I have heard that each person has their own sleep needs. My grandfather is almost 90, and healthy as a horse. he has never slept more that 5 hours a night in his adult life...maybe it is hereditarry or maybe not, but either way, I feel like since I had my daugher/ reached adult life I haven't needed as much sleep.

  • I struggled with sleep issues for years, not sleeping more than 3-4 hours/night. Took prescription sleeping pills, the whole thing. Now I take Melatonin and sleep about 6-7 hours, and I'm ok with that.

  • IDK. I don't sleep very well, due to husband's snoring and my menopause symptoms.
