Linen closet--is rolling towels or folding them a better way to organize for more room?

I fold my towels but seem they take up alot of space. How do you have your linen closet done. Rolled or folded towels? anyone use baskets to organize things? thanks

  • I fold mine. It works better for our closets than rolling them. The really large towels I fold in 3rds so they take up less space.

  • Rolling looks neater and takes up less space in the closet :)

  • We have one bathroom that has a tiny linen closet so i roll towels (about 5 or 6) and put them in a basket by the tub. Our main bath has a larger closet so I fold.

  • I used to fold them, but now I roll them so I can fit more into the small space I have.

  • We have small bathrooms and a tiny linen closet, but an extremely wide hallway. I got an storage organizer to go in the hall - it's a cube with 9 spaces, in each cube there is a fabric basket. I keep extra linens folded in those baskets. There's 7 of us so we go through a lot of towels and sheets!

  • I fold mine in thirds roughly 3-4 times, depending on the size of the towel.
