Is GBS something women should be concerned about during pregnancy?

  • There are two things that GBS can mean to me...either Group B Strep or Guillain-Barre syndrome so it kind of depends on which one you are talking about. Group B strep is common in pregnancy and treatable with antibiotics. Guillain-Barre syndrome is a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system with no known cause.
