Do you reuse ziplock bags?

If so how do you clean them? dry them? how many uses are they good for?

  • Yes, I do. I turn them inside out to dry, put them over an bottle. I do not reuse if they have had meat in them.

  • Yes, if it had a few crackers in it or something like that. Not if whatever was in it was oily, greasy, or any meat. I wash it with hot soapy water and let dry

  • I run mine through the dishwasher and let them air dry if I plan to reuse them.

  • No. But when I was a kid we always did-we jsut washed them by hand like any other kitchen item and dried them by opening them and letting them dry in the dishrack, or dried them out with a kitchen towel. I always HATED it

  • I agree it's nasty. Those bags are cheap enough that they don't have to be reused. Especially if meat was in it!!! Yuck!!!

  • I reuse. I am really the only one that TAKES a lunch/snack. I usually have the same item (ie crackers, pretzels) all week (Im boring like that) so I just refill it for the next day...and on friday throw it out. Same for my sandwiches unless its like tuna or pbj...then it gets tossed.
