Spinoff: do you think drinking and smoking while pregnant is a form of child abuse?

I am not saying my answer yet. So just because I asked the question doesn't mean I think it is.

  • Yes I do because you are knowingly harming your unborn child while doing so.

  • No. Now ask me about the ones feeding their kids pop tarts, chicken nuggets and apple juice because they throw a tantrum if they try to feed them anything else.

  • Yes. That unborn child isn't getting a say on putting that toxic crap in their body.

  • only if a woman drinks every day to excess is it harmful. DOctors say a glass of wine occasionally or a beer won't hurt at all. I had three healthy intelligent kids in the 1960's, and I did drink occasionally. The placenta does filter out a lot. My Obstetrician agreed that a glass occasionally would be fine.
I really wonder what you feed your children NOW? As NotPanicking said....chicken nuggets and pop tarts ....not good.
Saying you never drink and that a drink is child abuse is a self-righteous and judgmental way to boost your own ego and put others down. Not nice.

  • Anon, figure it out for yourself. Processed foods full of things your child doesn't need and that contributes to obesity.
