Has your doctor ever told you to take thyroid supplements?

Like thyroid complex from vitamin world.

  • No. When my thyroid was acting up, I was put on thyroid medication. Things like that need a dose of medication that fits the thyroid blood levels. That's not something I would want to use a broad spectrum supplement for.

  • Years ago my Doctor prescribed Thyroxine, and it can't be bought at a Vitamin store or online. It is a prescription drug, not a supplement.

  • No. The only time you should need thyroid supplement is if you have hypothyroidism, and then it will be a prescription.

  • No, my doctor has prescribed me Synthroid for hypothyroidism.
