How accurate are ultrasounds at dating babies?

  • they use the ultrasound just to confirm the due date, they typically go by your last menstral cycle. And then with each ultrasound make sure you are on the right course. If baby isnt growing as expected they look into what might be causing it. Possibly further along or not as far into the pregnancy

  • A ultrasound during the first 12 weeks is very accurate at giving an EDD.

  • i think pretty close but if you know your cycle i think its more acurate
