Who would leave a 13 month old in the bathtub alone?

Apparently, this mom did so she could play Facebook games.

Her excuses were-

The boy "wanted to be left alone" and was a very "independent baby."

She also told police she knew what it was like to be told "no," and she did not want her baby to be told "no."

The affidavit says she also did not want him to be known as a "mama's boy."

jaw dropWow, just Wow!

  • sounds like Ryan.. he used to try to leave the kids in the tub and go play a video game or read a book.. his excuse was "she is in a bath chair, she will be fine". some people are stupid and sadly, their children pay the price :-(

  • That was so sick and depressing. I never left my kids alone in the bathtub....not until they were older, maybe 9 or 10 years old. At the age of a year or two, they can fall down and be knocked unconscious and drown OR just slip under water and drown. I was overprotective and kept an eye on my kids everywhere, even when they played in our backyard, because I wanted to prevent them from being in danger or hurt at all.

  • that is so sad, I don't allow my 4 or 6 year olds to take baths by themselves, I feel they are to young to be left alone. wonder what was going through that woman's head? and all so she could play facebook games? glad I could careless about that kind of stuff.
