  • She will when she gets there. I was washing dishes at age 7 in my own, so it will be a responsibility that she will have but not that early.

  • We tried that. He didn't do a very good job, so we found more appropriate chores for him.

  • I was doin dishes when I was like 8, and did some cooking too. Teach them early, and they'll just get used to doing it later.

  • If they make something at off supper times (breakfast, lunch, or snacks) they are required to put them in the dishwasher, along with their supper plates but I do all the pots/pans I cook with.

  • We have a dishwasher and it's just easier for me to load it. My tweens could do dishes, though. They unload the dishwasher.

  • They help with the dishes when we ask. They also unload the dishwasher when it's clean. They also help by clearing the table and sweeping the floors.
