  • We drink in front of them. We do NOT get hammered. IMO, by doing this, we are showing them that they can drink responsibly and do not have to get hammered to enjoy life.

We will normally have one beer every night on average. There are some nights that one of us doesn't have anything. We have never been drunk in front of the kids.

  • I choose not to drink in front of my dd's (2 & 1) because that's just my choice. Maybe when they get older, when we go out to dinner or something and i'm not driving I will have one, to show you can drink responsibly, but I would never do anything past that, and certainly never get trashed in front of my kids.

  • Best thing that we can do for our children is teach them MODERATION!!! Especially for things that are legal for us to do and aren't that harmful (Cigarette smoking so HARMFUL even in moderation).

  • Having a drink in front of your kids is okay...getting drunk in front of them or when they're in your care is not.
