What can i do to my swollen breast?

i stopped breast feeding ma 11mo baby 4days ago n since then ma breast has been swollen, although i squeeze it out often an often but now tired of squeezing it out cuz its pains me...

  • well it does hurt but the more you squeze and stimulate the longer its gonna do it you have to just let them be and they will dry up

  • Did you stop cold turkey? If so, this is why. Consider nursing 1-2 times a day and then gradually cutting that out. Or pumping 1-2 times a day and slowly cutting that. Other things to do are cold cabbage leaves, break the veins, and place a leaf in each cup of your bra, until it wilts, replace as necessary. This aids the body in drying the milk. Motrin is fine for the pain. DO NOT bind your breasts, or wear tight fitting bras/tops. Wear a comfortable, well fitting, supportive bra. Binding can cause clogged ducts, which can lead to mastitis.
