How do you vote up a question?

Even though I've been on CM for awhile, I haven't been in the questions part until yesterday for awhile and see a lot of changes here. How do you vote up a question?

  • Well, technically you bump a question, and vote up answers.
To bump a question (bring it up into the little box in the center of the page so more people will see it), look for the link that says "Bump this Question" with the little blue arrow right under the question box.
To vote up an answer, click on the the thumbs up symbol next to the answer.
You get points for doing both of these things.

  • To vote on the thumbs up you have to have Facebook right?

No, voting up and down, and bumping have nothing to do with Facebook. Maybe this link will help explain some of it. :-)

  • I don't mean the bumping, I mean the box liking the question, it looks like you have to be a member of facebook to do that.

  • Oh, the "Like" for the question...yeah, I think that's for Facebook. The rest of it (bumping, voting up, etc) does not require Facebook.

  • Bumping a Question makes the question noticeable and popular at times. The OP and Replier earn points in the process of it
